I believe in a person-centered approach to therapy. My nature is conducive to building solid, trusting therapeutic relationships through acceptance, empathy, active listening, and enthusiasm for the work. My goal is to support clients as they pursue their passions, talents, and true happiness. I have honed my clinical skills through the years in varied settings, including outpatient mental, behavioral and community health. I deeply believe that everyone has growth potential.
Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming, so I encourage you to trust your gut as you seek. I have worked with people across the lifespan dealing with life changes, mood and behavioral issues, relationship difficulties, complex trauma, and more. People move at different paces of change in therapy, and I will walk or jog with you as a compassionate, relatable, and realistic guide, working from your strengths as a platform of change. Sometimes therapy is hard and sometimes it feels great. You may laugh, cry, reconsider life choices, and more. We'll work through it all, and you will emerge feeling like a clearer version of yourself.
I'm a psychotherapist trained in creative methods to help move you toward your therapeutic goals. I am also pursuing advanced certification in EMDR therapy, an evidence based, intensive therapeutic intervention addressing nearly every clinical issue from anxiety to complex trauma. I am relationally focused, meaning my job is to attune to you and your needs.
Sometimes even a short interaction can let you know if it could be a fit. I am available for a 15 minute phone intro/consultation so you can get a better sense of our work together. Let's talk so you can decide for yourself. I look forward to hearing from you. You can send an email to set up a call.
I am a licensed social worker with over twenty years of experience supporting children, individuals, and families. My professional background includes working in diverse settings such as outpatient community mental health clinics, psychiatric hospitals, and educational environments. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders and providing guidance during life transitions. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with.
Welcome. I know seeking therapy is a courageous step, especially when you’ve experienced pain, trauma, or abuse that has left deep marks on your sense of safety, trust, and self-worth. My practice is grounded in creating a space where you feel both supported and empowered to reclaim your story.
I specialize in working with individuals who have survived relational trauma, with a focus on those from Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color (BIPOC). I recognize how systems of oppression, cultural stigma, and generational patterns can compound the effects of personal trauma. Together, we’ll work not only on healing from what happened to you, but also on strengthening your resilience in navigating the unique pressures and challenges you may face in your community, family, or workplace.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I bring both compassion and honesty into the room, believing that true healing requires a balance of gentle support and meaningful challenge. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as trauma-informed care, somatic therapy , and mindfulness, while also respecting cultural values, spirituality, and lived experiences that shape who you are.
My strengths include:
• Helping clients unpack the effects of abuse and trauma while building healthier coping skills
• Creating a culturally responsive and affirming environment for BIPOC clients
• Supporting identity exploration, self-advocacy, and boundary-setting
• Encouraging empowerment and self-trust in the healing process
Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel seen, validated, and equipped with the tools to move toward peace, self-acceptance, and more fulfilling relationships.
