Welcome!
Mental well-being is a top priority because it is the key that opens the door to a happy, healthy, and stable life. Life can be full of unpredictable circumstances and events that leave us feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, stressed, anxious, or depressed. Experiencing one, or all, of these starts to negatively impact critical areas such as sleep, work, self-motivation, personal relationships, or lead us to start engage in unhealthy outlets. It also makes us feel all alone and emotionally trapped. Reaching out for help can initially feel uneasy and it is a difficult task, but be proud of yourself that you are taking that first step! I have over 20 years of clinical experience working with clients aged 13 to 75 with a main focus on working for you, your needs, and how to achieve your goals to live a happy, healthy, and stable life. Specialty areas include anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, Acute and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, relationships, couples/marital counseling, sexual issues, employees of law enforcement agencies, and forensic based testing.
My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative and experiential. I strive to create a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship through which you can share, express freely, and activate your deepest potential for transformation. I am devoted to the well-being of my clients and provide the best possible therapy to help facilitate insight and growth. Areas of expertise include trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction, family dynamic/attachment and relationship. I also offer services for clients working toward specific personal goals in the areas of, student/school, career/improved work-life, purpose and personal potential.
I work from a psychodynamic, relational perspective. I incorporate mindfulness,Breathwork, cognitive behavioral techniques(CBT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and experiential somatic therapies. I hold a License in Eastern medicine/acupuncture, and my in-depth study of Buddhist and Taoist philosophy and psychology inform my practice.
My practice is In-person in Ithaca NY and Online NY. Video therapy is confidential and available from the privacy and comfort of your home or office. It allows you to avoid travel time, and it reduces obstacle to participating in therapy. I am happy to talk with you about the benefits of this approach during our free 15 minute consultation.
I work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or trying to make sense of themselves during stressful or transitional periods of life. Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, burnout, work-related stress, or the emotional toll of caring for others. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and able to approach challenges with greater clarity and confidence.
I have particular experience working with young adults, young professionals, healthcare workers, first responders, and men—especially those who may be new to therapy or unsure where to start. Through my work across emergency, outpatient, residential, and telehealth settings, I’ve supported individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and life circumstances. This has shaped me into a flexible and adaptable clinician who is comfortable meeting clients where they are.
I want you to know that when you come into therapy with me, you don’t have to pretend, minimize, or hold everything together. You get to show up exactly as you are — overwhelmed, hopeful, exhausted, confused, motivated, or anything in between. We take it from there together.
My favorite part of this work has always been sitting with people one‐on‐one. That’s where real connection and real healing happen. I genuinely enjoy getting to know who you are, what you’ve been carrying, and what you’re hoping might feel different.
My style is warm, steady, and honest. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you understand the experiences and patterns that are shaping your life. I’m also practical — I like to offer tools and strategies you can actually use in your day‐to‐day life, not just in the therapy room.
I work with people dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, major transitions, and substance use concerns. But most importantly, I work with people who feel stuck or weighed down and aren’t sure how to move forward. Everyone deserves a space where they can breathe and be supported.
Something I tell clients often is this: I don’t want you to just feel better — I want you to be well. Feeling better can be temporary. Being well means building insight, healing, and lasting change.
My goal is simple: to help you feel safe, understood, and supported as you find your footing and move toward what’s healthier and more meaningful for you.
