I have experience providing therapy to individuals in DC for several years. I graduated The Catholic University of America in 2019 with a BS in Psychological & Brain Sciences. I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2021 with my Masters in Social Work. I hold my LICSW in Washington DC and serve adults with a range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and stress.
I'm a board certified psychiatrist. I received my medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and trained in psychiatry at the BIDMC Harvard Psychiatry Residency Training Program. I also completed a one-year fellowship in psychodynamic psychotherapy at Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.
I practice general adult psychiatry and specialize in women's mental health and reproductive psychiatry, young adult mental health, and LGBT+ mental health.
I’ve been working with women, children and families for over 15 years in individual counseling, group settings, and program development. My expertise lies in helping people understand their own emotional experience, to use words not violence, to cope, to reduce impulsive and compulsive behavior, to advocate for themselves.
I believe to live fully, we must feel. Intensely. Viscerally. Freely. To feel pride and pain, joy and frustration. To taste the freedoms of life, as well as its restraints. To reconcile thoughts, actions and emotions that are often at odds. To square all of this with culture, beliefs, and history. To live fully is when a sense of equity, equality and balance is awakened. To live fully is to gain perspective and know that you can weather all of it, and not be overcome by these complexities, but learn to integrate them, for a full life.
My education is not limited to my degrees. I learn from my clients every day. They have taught me empathy, compassion, resilience, and what it means to live fully. I hold these values sacred, and strive to live a life of purpose. I never ask a client to do something I’m not willing to do myself.

I have particular experience providing gender-affirming therapy and supporting clients as they explore and celebrate their gender identities. Hello and welcome to therapy! I have over ten years of experience working in the social work field and over six years of experience as a licensed therapist. My approach with clients is always to go at their pace and make therapy something they look forward to. One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is being able to make clients comfortable! I think therapy should be a safe place of comfort to process, grieve, and also celebrate the small victories we experience every day.
Life can be very challenging at times. There are ups and there are downs. Obstacles can block our path to growth and change. We can feel that we are screwing everything up forever, but we must realize that we are just simply being human and going through the human experience. I believe that with support and guidance all of us can overcome any obstacle that life throws our way. I like to provide compassion, trust, and support to my clients so that they can feel empowered to face their obstacles and experience self-growth.
Taking the first step is not always easy nevertheless my experience has taught me that change and personal growth is always possible. I have worked with adolescents, adults, seniors and groups.
