I’m a person in long-term recovery, which means I’ve been substance-free since July 13th, 2016. My experiences with depression, anxiety, and self-medicating eventually became a substance use disorder—and ultimately led me to a deeper purpose in the counseling field. I understand the weight of isolation, low self-worth, and the struggle to feel “okay.” If you’re dealing with anxiety, self-image issues, substance use, relationship challenges, or overwhelming stress, I offer not just professional tools—but personal understanding. I can help you feel less alone.
I'm so glad you're here. Taking the first step toward seeking support is a brave and meaningful act, and I want to honor that courage. It's an honor to walk alongside people as they navigate life's challenges, find their inner strengths, and move toward a greater sense of peace and wholeness. You don’t have to do this alone. Together, we’ll work toward healing, clarity, and self-trust.
My hope is to empower you with the tools and insights you need to build a life you feel good about. If you feel a connection to my approach, I invite you to reach out. I'm here to answer any questions and explore if we're a good fit to work together.
My name is Elizabeth (or Liz) and I am looking forward to meeting with you. I was born and raised in New York, growing up in Queens and Long Island and living for several years in the Hudson Valley. I went to college at SUNY New Paltz (upstate New York) and graduate school at Columbia University (New York City). Just like my experiences growing up and living in the city, countryside and suburban towns, I have a lot of experience working with both adults and children ranging from traumatic experiences, to challenging decisions. I have worked in community, inpatient, outpatient and hospital settings.
