Hi, I’m Denae! As a therapist who lives in the neurodivergent world myself, I believe therapy should be both real and lighthearted. With over a decade in behavioral health and dual licenses in counseling and addictions, I bring both clinical training and personal experience. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University. My goal is to create a safe space where you can show up authentically, free from judgment, with a touch of humor along the way.
Greetings and thank you for checking out my profile! I've worked with kids, teens, adults and families for over 20 years, and have a passion for helping people feel better.
In session, my main focus is you, your story, your goals, your healing, and your well-being. I take an eclectic, client-based approach to our time together and try to mold my presence in the room to match your needs in a non-judgmental and empathetic way.
Hi there- I'm Christina! Therapy is a space where we can find ourselves exploring ranges of insight, pain, joy, love, and everything in between. There is no right way of doing therapy, and I foster a safe space that allows you to create your own therapeutic journey.
I have 13+ years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, loss/grief, self-esteem, and coping strategies.
I am trained in helping you (and the people you care about) to work through challenges in life like sensory issues, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, and trauma. My background includes training in trauma-informed expressive arts therapies and strengths-centered approaches so that we are supporting you living your best life.
After being immersed in straight-cis Christian culture for years, I finally came to terms with my own queerness and now enjoy helping my clients enjoy the peace of authentic living. I work with both straight and queer clients, couples or individuals. Regardless of how you identify, I want to help you get un-stuck so you can thrive in all areas of your life.
I am trained in trauma, anxiety, addiction, grief and somatic treatments. I also help you build healthy relationships. I specialize in using Internal Family Systems (IFS) and integrating somatic techniques in therapy, such as Polyvagal Theory or Somatic Experiencing. I'm also trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and combine this with IFS and somatic work. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I have been a practicing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for five and a half years. Before becoming an NP, I was a psychiatric nurse for seven years, where I worked in in-patient and residential facilities. I worked as a Director of Nursing and am also currently an associate medical director of nursing at a community mental health center. I have experience working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, ADHD, and more.
I believe in helping individuals feel empowered and confident in their daily lives. I treat adults who have struggled with trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders and daily stress. I believe that working with individuals to build a strong foundation can help build feelings of regulation and stability in day to day living.
Are you struggling with anxiety, relationship, or addiction issues? I specialize in all three of those. With my 20 years of experience I can help you get the change and relief you are looking for. Most of my clients start to feel better within a couple of sessions. Therapy can be short or long term and I will work with you on a plan that works best for you and your needs. Some of my other experience includes, depression, mood disorders, couples/family issues, major life changes, grief, divorce, domestic violence, parenting, trauma, and adjustments to adult children.
I have wanted to be a counselor from a young age. I received my undergraduate BA degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado and my graduate degree M.Ed clinical/ school counseling from the University of Phoenix. I also spent two years studying at the Denver Seminary to learn how to incorporate faith into counseling. I started out as a middle school counselor and also worked as a therapist in a counseling clinic. My passions are parent coaching, helping with anxiety disorders as well as depressive disorders.
